Dr. Hedy Norsen, a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery earned in 2013, finds immense fulfillment in working across diverse age groups among her patients. Her dedication post-graduation has been directed towards mastering the art of smile transformations, specializing in adult orthodontics and early detection and rectification of bone irregularities in children. To augment her expertise, she has actively pursued additional training through courses and mini-residencies, learning from eminent figures in orthodontics, including a stint at the Faculté of Orthodontic Research. Her proficiency extends to being a seasoned provider of Invisalign treatment. Furthermore, she holds membership in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and has honed her skills in cosmetic fillers and therapeutic botox therapy for addressing TMJ pain and tension headaches through collaboration with plastic surgeons. Dr. Norsen’s compassionate approach extends to her work with children, where her gentle demeanor is particularly accommodating for patients with anxiety and phobias. Beyond her dental practice, she indulges in writing and composing music. Her debut children's novel, Orchidus Academy, saw publication in February 2014, followed by a successful Ontario-wide book tour culminating at Chapters Indigo in the same year. At home, she shares her space with a menagerie of adopted animals, including two cockatiels, two budgies, and a stray cat named Kiki.
