After earning his dental degree in 1998 from Bangalore University in India, Dr. Pillai went on to complete his speciality specialization in oral surgery at Mumbai University in India in 2004. He was able to successfully contest the NDEB equivalency procedure and thereafter obtained a British Columbia general dentist license. He is also a fellow of the Chicago, Illinois, United States, International Congress of Oral Implantology.
